The "Reishi" mushroom was made known by that name by the media from the Japanese name for the Ganoderma Lucidum species first used in ancient Chinese medicine. After scientific research discovered it contained a number of potentially useful bio active compounds there was a brief period of reports in the news and news-zines explaining its potential uses in the treatment of Cancer. But it was the health food industry infomercials that really informed the public and made the name recognizable. They provided the information people needed to apply it to their personal health issues.
<BR><BR> The historical record of drinking <a href="http://a2zultimatesuccess.com/ganoderma-lucidum-healthy-coffee-provide-a-wealth-of-opportunity">Ganoderma Lucidum</a> goes way back to the early Chinese period of the Warring states; circa 475 BC. Ganoderma Lucidum, having anti viral and bacterial properties making it useful in the treatment of viral liver infections, cholesterol lowering effects, and fighting against the flu in its many forms. It can also affect blood pressure through platelet aggregation effects, lowering blood sugar and cholesterol, and inhibit angiogenesis which is the formation of blood vessels that feed tumors and also hinders metastasis of tumor cells.
<BR><BR> I truly relish a hot cup of rich black tea with honey or brown sugar with my breakfast. I usually drink mine in a beer mug size glass. But many people prefer coffee, and for those cold mornings it's has to be hot chocolate for me!
